Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, or using the application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Age Requirement

You must be at least eighteen (18) years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to use the application.

2. No Server, No Recovery

All data is stored locally on the user’s device. The application is designed to operate without transmitting data to, or storing data on, any server, cloud, or external system controlled by the provider.

All processing occurs locally on the user’s device.

If access to the device is lost, or if data is deleted without a prior vault backup, the Internet Identity Card will be permanently unrecoverable.

No recovery mechanism exists.

The provider does not have access to, and is not designed to access, any data stored within the application.

This design does not extend to third-party environments, including the operating system, browser, or external storage controlled by the user.

3. User Responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the provider shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or compromise of data.

4. No Legal Identity

The Internet Identity Card is a privately created digital tool and is not a government-issued identification document.

It is not issued, validated, certified, endorsed, or recognized by any government, public authority, regulatory body, or international institution.

It does not constitute an official identity document, including but not limited to passports, national identity cards, residence permits, or driver’s licenses.

The Internet Identity Card does not grant any legal status, identity rights, or official recognition, and cannot be used as proof of identity for any administrative, legal, or regulatory purpose unless expressly recognized under applicable law.

Any use of the Internet Identity Card is at the user’s sole discretion and responsibility. No guarantee is made that it will be accepted or recognized by any third party or authority.

Digital signatures generated through this application are cryptographic proofs only and are not inherently legally binding unless recognized under applicable law.

5. Privacy

The application is designed not to collect or transmit personal data. All data remains on the user’s device unless explicitly exported or shared by the user.

The provider does not operate any server-side infrastructure for the processing or storage of user data.

This design does not prevent data exposure resulting from user actions, device compromise, or third-party software.

6. Cryptographic Signatures

Digital signatures and cryptographic mechanisms used within the application provide cryptographic verification of data integrity and signature validity.

They do not, by themselves, establish legal identity, legal validity, or enforceability unless recognized under applicable law.

Cryptographic mechanisms rely on correct implementation, user practices, and secure environments, which are outside the provider’s control.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty

This application is provided "as is" and "as available," to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, or security.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. The provider does not warrant that the application will be free from vulnerabilities, interruptions, or unauthorized access.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the provider shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the application, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access, or security compromise, even if the provider has been advised of the possibility of such damages, and regardless of the theory of liability.

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including but not limited to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

9. Intellectual Property

Internet Identity Card ™ is the property of Https Card — Internet Identity Card Ltd.

10. Restrictions

Except where prohibited by applicable law, no reproduction, modification, distribution, or reverse engineering is allowed without prior written permission.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the user and the provider regarding the use of the application and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings, agreements, or representations.

14. Changes to Terms

The provider reserves the right to modify or update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Updated Terms may be distributed with new versions of the application or through official communication channels.

Continued use of the application after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
